Professional Development

Cohort 7 & 8 Required Professional Development Plan
Grantees must develop a professional development plan for afterschool teachers and provide the written plan to PDE for approval. 21st CCLC funds cannot be used for non-sanctioned conference expenses. Workshops not applicable to afterschool will not be approved.

 

Cohort Training Requirements
If you are unable to send the required two staff members to any of the trainings, you must obtain PDE approval to make any substitutions with other trainings.

Cohort 7 – Grantees must send two representatives to the following each grant year:

  • USDOE’s Summer Institute
  • Extra Learning Opportunities Conference
  • PA Grantee Meeting
  • PA 21st Century Regional Training

Cohort 8 – Grantees must send two representatives to the following each grant year:

  • USDOE’s Summer Institute
  • Extra Learning Opportunities Conference
  • PA Grantee Meeting
  • PA 21st Century Regional Training

 

Professional Development Opportunities
All trainings require PDE approval and must be included in your budget and professional development plan.
